Young people and creativity. Whilst these two things don’t always go hand-in-hand – they should.
Kiverco has great links with education (see the EDUCATION section of this website) and in particular, emerging creative talent in the engineering field.
Each year, Kiverco invests time, energy and money supporting our country’s universities and colleges. We run live projects, make presentations, offer mentoring and organise site visits to our home in Dungannon for Northern Ireland’s brightest and best emerging designers and engineers.
And we were super impressed when we took a closer look at this year’s TechFéile event at Ionad Óige na hÉireann in County Meath.
TechFéile is an annual entertainment and educational event for young people aged 12–18 who attend Irish-medium schools and youth clubs, and who participate in the annual TechSpace programme with Kinia.
What these young people achieved is not connected to recycling or recycling plant at all. But the way in which the team creatively harnessed the latest technologies to make something really special and valuable happen – that is close to home.
