Founded in 2013, the Kevin Bell Trust is a charity that helps bereaved families with the repatriation of their loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances.
Ten years ago this month Kevin Bell tragically lost his life in New York city after being struck by a moving vehicle. His parents set up the charity in his memory and have now helped repatriate the remains of over 1560 Irish men and women who have died abroad.
In February, Ciara McCann, Project Costing Analyst, ran the Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon in aid of The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
Ciara sadly lost her friend Shona Tubman last year, and the charity was exceptionally supportive in helping to bring Shona back home.
She decided to take part in this fundraiser to help support other families faced with the loss of a loved one abroad.
Ciara and the Tubman family raised a fantastic £2,884 for the Trust, in memory of their much loved Shona and would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who supported their fundraising efforts.
Fantastic work Ciara!
