SUEZ recycling and recovery UK (SUEZ) employ more than 5,000 people in the UK. Since 1988, they have been managing waste and water for local authority and business customers. Today, they are pioneering sustainable solutions and innovative technologies for the UK’s circular economy.
SUEZ wanted to introduce a new processing line at their site in Malpass Farm, Rugby, England in 2015, in order to deliver a higher volume of in-specification fuel for their customer . The new works were put out to tender and Kiverco won the job of integrating the new elements into the existing plant, including full project management and installation.
Why did SUEZ choose to work with Kiverco?
SUEZ chose to purchase from Kiverco because “They were found to be the best contractor for this project following an extensive tendering process.” Jonathan Cesar.
The project consisted of Kiverco providing Conveyors complete with drive motors and gearboxes, steel support legs, metal and heavies’ bays, lights conveyor, stair access and walkways, Interlocking gates, belt weigh scales and a control system that integrated with their existing system. All of these new elements were fitted around the existing plant to upgrade their current facilities; ensuring higher processing capacity increasing plant uptime and extending the life of the plant.
The plant will process up to 20 tonnes of waste per hour to create a quality Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF), which will feed the UK’s largest cement kiln and offset the use of fossil fuels.

Commenting on the investment, Jonathan Ceasar Senior Technical Plant Engineer at Suez stated:
“Kiverco has been a pleasure to work with and delivered on their commitments, thus far. When the project faced challenges outside of Kiverco’s remit they accommodated necessary changes to ensure the overall success of the project.”
Working with SUEZ.
Andre Matula, Key Account Manager at Kiverco commented: “It was a pleasure to work with an industry leader and bring SUEZ a solution that would enable them to upgrade their current plant and optimise output. Our team worked diligently to win this tender but ultimately it was the quality of our products that secured our contract. I am very proud of the products that our team output at Kiverco and I know that they will help to transform the plant at SUEZ and offer the company peace of mind and a longer use of life for their plant. We would like to thank Jonathan and the team at SUEZ for investing in their first Kiverco machinery and we look forward to working with them again in the near future.”
